4 continents in 3 months- South Africa here we come!

On to the 4th continent in 3 months for more fun and games! South Africa here we come :-) We arrived several days before the start of the World Cup so that we could check out some of the local sights while the place was a bit quieter. We stayed with Martin's dad and his partner, and Martin's brother and his wife, in an apartment in Centurion, just outside of Pretoria.

Standing in the spot where Nelson Mandela gave his inauguration speech in 1994 when he became South Africa's first democratically elected president. The Union Buildings behind us is where the South African government is housed.

A short rest in the city square in downtown Pretoria where we were later told strictly not to go because it is 'only blacks'. We thought it was time to break the cycle!
